[edit]A Modern Greek αντιδάνειο (antidáneio).[1] Borrowed from Italian parola, from French parole (or see Etymology at Italian parola) < Late Latin parabola < Koine Greek παραβολή (parabolḗ, “parable”), ancient sense: "analogy".
Or, Inherited from Byzantine Greek παρόλα (paróla),[2] a Medieval Greek αντιδάνειο (antidáneio).[3]
