Noted as being the feminine form of Алекса́ндър (Aleksándǎr), from Ancient Greek Ἀλέξανδρος (Aléxandros). May therefore also be partly influenced or borrowed from Ancient Greek Ἀλεξάνδρα (Alexándra).
