Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Permic *ȯm, from Proto-Uralic *aŋe. Cognates include Hungarian ajak (“lip”) and Tundra Nenets няʼ (ńah, “mouth”).
Permic cognates include Udmurt ым (ym) and Komi-Permyak ӧм (öm).
