Bulgarian

Etymology

From Proto-Slavic *drěmati, through Old Church Slavonic дрѣмати (drěmati, to drowse, doze). Cognates include Czech dřimat, Polish drzemać, Russian дремать (drematʹ), Serbo-Croatian drijemati, Slovene dremati and more distantly Latin dormio and Sanskrit द्रायते (drāyate).
