1. (transitive) to mill, to grind (to crush grain, coffee, spices, or another substance into smaller particles or powder)

   Воденицата мели жито за цялото село.

   Vodenicata meli žito za cjaloto selo.

   The mill grinds wheat for the whole village.

2. to crush, to pulverize (to reduce something hard or dry to powder or small pieces)

   Машината мели камъните на ситен прах.

   Mašinata meli kamǎnite na siten prah.

   The machine crushes the stones into fine powder.

3. (colloquial, figurative) to talk on and on, to prattle, to babble

   Той мели едно и също вече половин час и никой не го слуша.
