Verb

пра́ша • (práša) first-singular present indicative, impf

1. (intransitive) to raise dust

   Мети с мокра метла, да не прашиш.

   Meti s mokra metla, da ne prašiš.

   Sweep with a wet broom so you don't raise dust.

2. (transitive) to cover or sprinkle with dust; to make dusty
3. (intransitive, reflexive with се) to get covered in dust, to become dusty

   Никой от нас не носи чисти очила; само това има, че някои очила не се прашат толкова, колкото други.

   Nikoj ot nas ne nosi čisti očila; samo tova ima, če njakoi očila ne se prašat tolkova, kolkoto drugi.

   None of us wears clean glasses; it's just that some glasses don't get as dusty as others.

4. (intransitive, colloquial) to walk, to hurry, to rush (usually fast and purposefully)

   Моторът прашел вече по тесния сокак към училището, съпровождан от цяла сюрия босоноги деца.

   Motorǎt prašel veče po tesnija sokak kǎm učilišteto, sǎprovoždan ot cjala sjurija bosonogi deca.

   The motorcycle was already rushing down the narrow street toward the school, accompanied by a whole flock of barefoot children.

5. (transitive, dialectal) to hoe, to dig up (usually for the first time a crop, vineyard, garden, etc.)

   Тия сами садят овошки; лозя копаят, режат, прашат.

   Tija sami sadjat ovoški; lozja kopajat, režat, prašat.

   They plant fruit trees themselves; they dig, prune, and hoe the vineyards.
