Mongolian

Etymology

From Proto-Mongolic *kïjaxar, likely from Proto-Turkic *kïdïg or otherwise related in some manner.

Spurious -г- (-g-) is due to a spelling pronunciation of Classical Mongolian.

Compare Dongxiang ghizha, ghizhira, Turkish kıyı (coast shore)
