Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Indo-European *plew- +‎ -ան- (-an-).

Alternatively, from Proto-Indo-European *lewh₃-, whence լոգանամ (loganam).

  1. (transitive) to wash, to cleanse, to bathe; to rinse
