- (slang) Contraction of בֵּית סֵפֶר (bet séfer, “a school; literally house of book”).
- 2010 May 4, Yali Moran Zelikovich, “דאגה במשרד החינוך מקבוצת "לשרוף את בצפר" (“Concern at the Ministry of Education from the group "to burn the school"”)”, in ynet[1]:
- מקים הקבוצה כתב לחבריו (השגיאות במקור): "אם גם אתם שונאים בצפר, אם אתם פורמנים, אם אתם אוהבים ל"ג בעומר, אז תתצטרפו לקבוצתנו ותעזרו לנו".
- The group's creator wrote to his friends (errors in source): "If you hate school, if you are pyromaniacs, if you like Lag B'Omer, then join our group and help us".
