بَاضَ (bāḍa) I (non-past يَبِيضُ (yabīḍu), verbal noun مَبِيض (mabīḍ) or بَيْض (bayḍ))

  1. to lay eggs
    .بَاضَتْ الدَّجَاجَةُ ثَلَاثَ بَيْضَاتٍ
    .bāḍat ad-dajājatu ṯalāṯa bayḍātin
    The chicken laid three eggs.
