Etymology

Borrowed from Classical Persian صَلَّیٰ ٱللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّم (sallā l-lāhu alayh-i wasallam), from Arabic صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (ṣallā llāhu ʕalayhī wa-sallama).
