      waminhā l-muṭbaqatu wal-munfatiḥatu. faʾammā l-muṭbaqatu faṣ-ṣādu, waḍ-ḍādu, waṭ-ṭāʾu, waẓ-ẓāʾu. wal-munfatiḥatu: kullu mā siwā ḏālika mina l-ḥurūfi; liʾannaka lā tuṭbiqu lišayʾin minhunna lisānaka, tarfaʿuhu ʾilā l-ḥanaki l-ʾaʿlā. wahāḏihi l-ḥurūfu l-ʾarbaʿatu ʾiḏā waḍaʿta lisānaka fī mawāḍiʿihinna nṭabaqa lisānuka min mawāḍiʿihinna ʾilā mā ḥāḏā l-ḥanaka l-ʾaʿlā mina l-lisāni tarfaʿuhu ʾilā l-ḥanaki, faʾiḏā waḍaʿta lisānaka faṣ-ṣawtu maḥṣūrun fīmā bayna l-lisāni wal-ḥanaki ʾilā mawḍiʿi l-ḥurūfi.
