Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀉𑀓𑁆𑀓𑀺𑀭𑀇 (ukkiraï), 𑀉𑀓𑁆𑀓𑀭𑀇 (ukkaraï), from Sanskrit उत्किरति (utkirati). Compare उकिरडा (ukirḍā), Sindhi اُڪِرڻُ / उकिरणु, Punjabi ਉੱਕਰਨਾ (ukkarnā) / اُکّرنا (ukkrnā).
