Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀚𑀼𑀢𑁆𑀢 (jutta, joined), from Sanskrit युक्त (yukta, joined, yoked) or युक्तक (yuktaka, pair). Cognate with Nepali जुत्ता (juttā).
