Etymology

Perhaps from Marwari बीस (bīs, twenty) +‎ नऊ (naū, nine) +‎ -ई (, relational suffix), literally of or relating to twenty and nine. A derivation from विष्णु (viṣṇu, Vishnu) has been suggested as well.
