Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Indo-Aryan *muẓḍʰás, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *muždʰás, from the root *mawǰʰ- (“to err, to deviate”). Compare Prakrit 𑀫𑀼𑀟𑁆𑀠 (muḍḍha). The Sanskrit root is मुह् (muh), which see for more.
