Etymology[edit]
Borrowed from Classical Persian ساده (sāda), from Middle Persian *sādag. Compare Bengali সাদা (śada), Gujarati સાદું (sādũ), Marathi साधे (sādhe), Punjabi ਸਾਦਾ (sādā).
