Borrowed from Classical Persian غصه (ġussa, grief, sorrow), from Arabic غُصّة (ḡuṣṣa, distress, pang). Cognate with Assamese গোচ্ছা (güssa), Gujarati ગુસ્સો (gusso), Hindi गुस्सा (gussā), Punjabi ਗੁੱਸਾ (gussā).
