Form Early Assamese মাঝ (majho), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "inc-mgd" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., from Sanskrit মধ্য (madhya), from Proto-Indo-Aryan *mádʰyas, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *mádʰyas, from Proto-Indo-European *médʰyos (between, in the middle, middle). Cognate with Bengali মাঝ (majh), Sylheti ꠝꠣꠏ (mazó).
