Etymology[edit]

Perhaps from Sanskrit कुस्तुम्बरी (kustumbarī). Compare with Marathi कोथिंबीर (kothimbīr), Konkani कोतमीर (kōtmīr), Gujarati કોથમીર (kothmīr), Javanese ꦏꦼꦠꦸꦩ꧀ꦧꦂ (ketumbar)
