From Proto-Kartvelian *q̇aw-, akin to Georgian ი‐ყვ‐ი‐ს (i‐q̇v‐i‐s), Mingrelian ი‐ჸუ‐აფ‐უ (i‐ʾu‐ap‐u) and Mingrelian მ‐ა‐ჸუ‐აფ‐უ (m‐a‐ʾu‐ap‐u).
