Etymology

Calque of Sanskrit धर्मचक्षुस् (dharmacakṣus, eye of the law) or Pali dhammacakkhu. The Tibetan equivalent is ཆོས་ཀྱི་མིག (chos kyi mig) or ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྤྱན (chos kyi spyan).
