Etymology[edit]

Pronunciation[edit]

  • (SK Standard/Seoul) IPA(key): [ˈkɛ(ː)dwɛd͡ʑi] ~ [ˈke̞(ː)dwɛd͡ʑi] ~ [ˈkɛ(ː)dwe̞d͡ʑi] ~ [ˈke̞(ː)dwe̞d͡ʑi]
  • Phonetic hangul: [(ː)/(ː)/(ː)/(ː)]
    • Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
