Etymology

Cognate to standard 어렵다 (eoryeopda, “to be difficult”) but with narrowed semantics. The Yukjin word for "to be difficult" in general is 바뿌다 (bappuda).

1. (Yukjin) to be difficult to bring up in conversation; to invite caution when speaking of it
