1. A brown pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to warm the kidney and the spleen and check diarrhea in the treatment of diminished function of the spleen and the kidney with cold manifestations, marked by diarrhea occurring before dawn daily or loose stools with abdominal pain, aching in the loins and cold limbs".
