Etymology 1

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *-(e)ro-. Compare երկ-ար (erk-ar) from Proto-Indo-European *dweh₂-ro- (long). See also -իր (-ir), -որ (-or), -ուր (-ur).
