- (frequentative suffix, rare) Added to a verb to form a verb to express the frequent repetition of an action.
- öl (“to kill”) → öldököl (“to slaughter, massacre”)
Usage notes
- (frequentative suffix) It is used only by a few one-syllable verbs. No longer productive. Variants:
- -dokol is added to back-vowel verbs
- -dekel is added to unrounded front-vowel verbs
- -dököl is added to rounded front-vowel verbs
