  1. (frequentative suffix) Mostly added to transitive verbs (less frequently to other types of words) to form new verbs denoting repetitive action. It may also change the meaning.
    mos (to wash)mosogat (to do the dishes)

Usage notes

  • (frequentative suffix) Harmonic variants:
    -gat is added to back vowel words
    -get is added to front vowel words
    -ogat is added to back vowel words
    -eget is added to unrounded front vowel words
    -öget is added to rounded front vowel words
