The term ''pedophilia'' is often used to describe the behavior of adults sexually involved with children. Although pedophilia is used to describe the behaviour of adults sexually involved with children, this is incorrect, because the Greek word philia, does not mean to have a sexual interest in someone. Philia means friendship in Greek, and it is a dispassionate virtuous type of love. The type of love in Greek that means to have a sexual desire in someone is eros (ἔρως). So an adult with a sexual interest in children would be called "pedoeros" |
