вя́нуть (vjánutʹimpf (perfective завя́нуть or увя́нуть)

  1. to wither, to shrivel, to fade, to dry up (shrivel, droop, dry up, e.g. of flowers)
    у́ши вя́нут (colloquial)úši vjánutit makes one sick to hear, one gets sick of hearing it (literally, “ears wither”)
