Inherited from Old Marathi माकोडा (mākoḍā), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "pmh" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., from Sanskrit मर्कट (markaṭa). Cognate with Konkani मांकड (māṁkḍa) and Konkani मांकोड (māṁkoḍa).
