This appendix covers affixes (prefixes, suffixes, infixes, etc) that are used for comparison.

Direction[edit]

Anatomical position system:

  • medio-: the midline of an animal
  • latero-: the sides of an animal
    • dextro-: on the right side
    • sinistro-: on the left side
    • contra-: on the side opposite to the referent
    • ipsi-: on the same side as the referrent
