Previous discussion: Thread:User talk:CodeCat/Arabic defective verbs

Arabic confusingly uses "defective" to refer to a specific type of conjugation. But apparently there are also defective verbs in the usual sense in Arabic. Benwing suggested renaming it to this to avoid ambiguity. —CodeCat 11:38, 31 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

See the previous discussion. We'd also have to rename Category:Arabic defective form-I verbs, Category:Arabic defective form-II verbs, etc. and fix up certain templates where the word "defective" occurs (and which often generate category inclusions with "defective" in them) and also Module:ar-verb. This appears to have been done now. —CodeCat 20:27, 20 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
