Etymology

Borrowed from Tibetan གཅོད (gcod, to sever), short for གཅོདསྒྲུབ་ཐབས (gcod sgrub thabs), equivalent to Sanskrit छेद साधना (cheda sādhanā); both literally "cutting practice".
