Literally, church of Mantán, a personal name deriving from Old Irish mant (gums, jaw), from Proto-Brythonic *mant (whence Welsh mant (mouth, jaw)), cognate with Latin mentum (chin) and Gothic 𐌼𐌿𐌽𐌸𐍃 (munþs, mouth).
