From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin crater (basin; cup), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek κρατήρ (kratḗr, mixing bowl, wassail-bowl), from κράμα (kráma, mixture), from κεράννυμι (keránnumi, to mix, to mingle).
