From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old English Ēostre, Ēastre (a goddess of spring and fertility) and ēastre (Easter), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Germanic *Austrǭ (Easter, springtime; a goddess of spring and fertility).
