Hollands Diep

  1. A tidal river, the estuary of the rivers Rhine and Maas (or Meuse) in the southern Netherlands.
    • 1953 April, “Devastation in Holland”, in Railway Magazine, pages 217-218:
      On the section between Dordrecht and Lage Zwaluwe, where some of the worst damage occurred, this line crosses the mile-long Moerdijk Bridge over the Hollands Diep, which was temporarily restored after having been wrecked during the war.
