From Middle High German koliander, kolander, kullander, from Old High German kullantar, from Medieval Latin coliandrum, from Byzantine Greek κολίανδρον (kolíandron), dissimilated borrowing of Latin coriandrum, itself from Ancient Greek κορίανδρον (koríandron).
