From the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin Maccabaeus, from the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek Μᾰκκᾰβαῖος (Makkabaîos), from the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Biblical Hebrew מַכַּבִּי (makkabbī).
