Schwa dropping[edit]

@Wyang I think the Ethyopian script has similar, if not identical rules for schwa dropping (here "ə") but I don't think I can simply copy it from the Hindi module. it may be easier to work with the resulting transliteration, rather than the native script. --Anatoli T. @Atitarev Could you please explain how the dropping works a bit more or add more testcases? I would like to confirm that the rules are the same as in Hindi before they are implemented. Wyang (talk) 00:07, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have added some basic ones so far. According to [1]] ፍራፍሬ (fərafre) is "frafre", so it seems that "ə" is also dropped on the first syllable, unlike North Indic languages. This is the first difference I have found. Now I think, we could put this on hold until better rules are established. Maybe we could do Bengali with User:DerekWinters's help? --Anatoli T.
