Named after Austrian botanist Hans Molisch.

Molisch's reagent (uncountable)

(chemistry) α-naphthol (C₁₀H₈OH) dissolved in ethanol (C₂H₅OH). It is used in Molisch's test for the detection of carbohydrates.
