From Bengali মুখুজ্জে (mukhujje), which is from Sanskrit मुखोपाध्याय (mukhopādhyāya), from Sanskrit मुख्य (mukhya, “chief”) + Sanskrit उपाध्याय (upādhyāya, “teacher”).
