- According to this agreement, Japan has decided to provide Vietnam with a number of doctors and specialists, as well as a grant for Vietnamese doctors and nurses to study and work in Japan. Furthermore, Japan was to build a mental surgery department and supply medical equipment to Vietnam. It is reported that the Japanese Government has earmarked a budget of USD 1,100,000 for the first stage of this collaborative medical program.
