Etymology[edit]

Partial calque of Mandarin 珠穆朗瑪峰珠穆朗玛峰 (Zhūmùlǎngmǎ Fēng); created by combining Qomolangma (Tibetan Pinyin spelling of Tibetan ཇོ་མོ་གླང་མ (jo mo glang ma)) and Mandarin (Fēng, mountain, summit).
