All were first described by the neurologist James Ramsay Hunt (1872–1937).

  1. Any of a number of unrelated syndromes:
    1. Ramsay Hunt syndrome type 1: a rare form of cerebellar degeneration.
    2. Ramsay Hunt syndrome type 2: the reactivation of herpes zoster in the geniculate ganglion.
    3. Ramsay Hunt syndrome type 3: occupationally induced neuropathy of the deep palmar branch of the ulnar nerve.
