Etymology[edit]
All were first described by the neurologist James Ramsay Hunt (1872–1937).

Ramsay Hunt syndrome (countable and uncountable, plural Ramsay Hunt syndromes)
- Any of a number of unrelated syndromes:
- Ramsay Hunt syndrome type 1: a rare form of cerebellar degeneration.
- Ramsay Hunt syndrome type 2: the reactivation of herpes zoster in the geniculate ganglion.
- Ramsay Hunt syndrome type 3: occupationally induced neuropathy of the deep palmar branch of the ulnar nerve.
