Newer references give the Wiyot first-person prefix as du-, and analyse it as showing the hardening of the nasal n to a stop (as also occured with m→b). Older references give ru- (“my”), yil (“I”), and analyse r as a variant of l. (L and n are, in turn, found as variants of each other in many Algic words.) - -sche (discuss) 02:38, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
