@Chuterix, is the gloss here correct? Where did you get this?

The term , , (na) in Japanese has not meant rapeseed specifically, so far as I've been able to find -- this originally referred more generally to the sense side dish. Vegetable side dishes have often made use of the leaves and stems of the rape plant (Brassica napus), not the seed, as well as similar plants. That said, na side dishes can also be made of other plants, or of fish, or of poultry, or of red meat.
