Remonstrant (plural Remonstrants)

  1. (Protestantism, historical) A member of the Dutch Arminians whose divergence from Calvinism was expressed in five articles in the Remonstrance of 1610; subsequently a member of the liberal Protestant denomination that developed from this group.
