      An important addition to the railway system of Canada is the Quebec North Shore & Labrador Railway, which is expected to open in 1954. The line is to start from Seven Islands, on the St. Lawrence River, and run for nearly 360 miles, through undeveloped country, to mines which are being opened up at Knob Lake, in Labrador.
